Recognized as one of Musical America’s Top 30 Professionals in 2021, acclaimed Chinese violinist Sean Gao is a Distinguished Professor of Music at the University of Delaware.

Beyond his teaching, Sean is the creative force behind *Shanghai Sonatas*, a symphony orchestra work that has garnered significant attention. He is currently in the process of adapting it into a Broadway musical, showcasing his talents not only as a performer but also as a composer and producer.

Doug Blush is an award winning documentary director, editor, cinematographer, and writer. He received the 2013 ACE Eddie Award for Documentaries for his work as Supervising Editor on TWENTY FEET FROM STARDOM, the winner of the 2014 Critic’s Choice Award, and the 2014 Academy Award winner for Best Documentary.

Doug is the editor and an associate producer of the Academy Award-nominated THE INVISIBLE WAR, winner of the 2014 Emmy for Best Documentary. He is co-producer and editor of OF TWO MINDS (about bipolar disorder), a winner of the 2013 Voice Awards. He is the Consulting Editor on the 2014 Sundance Documentary Grand Jury Prize winning RICH HILL. He was also the editor of other notable films, including Wordplay, Troubadors, These Amazing Shadows, I.O.U.S.A., Outrage, Beer Wars, and Freakonomics.

Meredith is an accomplished producer of award-winning documentary films, with a career spanning over two decades. Most recently, she served as president of Original Thinkers, a dynamic multi-media ideas festival and media company. Before that, she dedicated over 20 years to the Sundance Institute, where she played a key role in program development. Meredith was the founder and director of the Sundance Ignite Program, led the Sundance Film Forward Initiative, and was instrumental in the creation of the Sundance Institute’s Documentary Film Program.

Her producing credits include Home Front, which premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival, and The Grand Rescue, which debuted at the Mountain Film Festival in 2014. She has also been a consulting producer for numerous award-winning documentaries.

Meredith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University.

Born in Manhattan, raised in Germany, and having lived across Asia, Alex is a multi-lingual, cross-cultural documentary film producer and the CEO of Crescent Moon Films. As an executive producer, he has overseen the production of Bruce Brown: The Life of Endless Summers (2020) and Birth of The Endless Summer (2021).

Driven by a belief in the power of storytelling to inspire narrative change, Alex co-founded and serves as the managing director of Bruce Brown Films, the iconic LA-based production company behind the Academy Award-nominated On Any Sunday (1971) starring Steve McQueen, and the groundbreaking The Endless Summer (1964). He holds a joint Bachelor of Arts and Master of Legal Studies from UCLA’s School of Law.

Alex Mecl | CEO & Producer

After graduating from the prestigious Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, Feiyang launched a successful career in acting and film. She gained recognition through leading roles in a variety of Chinese TV dramas before continuing her journey in Japan, where she mastered the Japanese language and earned a graduate degree in Performing Arts from Nihon University's Graduate School of Drama & Performing Arts in Tokyo.

Born in China and having lived across three continents, Feiyang’s international experience and diverse background have enriched her cultural understanding of history and nurtured a deep sense of humanity.

Spanning several decades of a seasoned career with McKinsey & Co., Motorola, Apple, and Tesla, Veronica Wu is an experienced Silicon Valley investor and fund manager. She is also the founder and managing partner of First Bight Ventures, a Houston-based venture capital firm focusing on advancing synthetic biology for a better future.

Her appreciation for the arts, including classical music and film, and in-depth understanding of the historical and the cultural significance of The Garden Bridge, motivated her to join Crescent Moon Films as a founding partner and executive producer.

Born and raised in Laguna Beach, California, Richard Yelland is an Emmy® nominated director and award-winning documentary filmmaker having produced and directed such films as Birth of The Endless Summer (2021), Seeding Change: The Power of Conscious Commerce (2020), Between Two Harbors (2015), 12 Miles North - The Nick Gabaldon Story (2012).
